Jerseylicious-Ness

Oh boy, I got reigned in. I loathe reality TV. The only show I ever watch is Dancing with The Stars, (should I admit to that?), Glee, & animal documentaries.  Now, I accidentally turned the station to Jerseylicious. Oh no! Another show about Jersey?? (ok, I watched Jersey Shore before too, lol). I watched it for 5 minutes and all of a sudden, I need longer nails and spray tan! Not really, but I could feel my inner Jersey Girl coming out!! It's based in Jersey at a salon called The Gatsby. There is SO much drama, they are actually calling it a "DocuSoap"  haha!!  There is this girl, Olivia, on there who is tooo cute! Then there is Tracy, she is just mean to Olivia, then there is Gigi and Frankie. Phew!! You thought Ronnie & Sam were bad?? Back and forth these two!  Ok, I'm done. Anyway, this little Olivia wears bright, neon colors and frankly, she rocks it. She inspired me to do a feather mix called, "Jerseylicious "Olivia".  I hope she loves it. :-) 

Who's Got Football Fever!!?

Well, it's that time of year again. FOOTBALL FEVER!!  I live in Oregon, which is hardcore with Beaver Believers and U of O fans, I love it! The spirit while you drive down the freeway is palpable! You can feel it in the air! So, with the enthusiasm that is football, I decided to do some Footmall Mixes. remixed OSU and U of O feather colors! I am also doing earrings (feathers!) and flower clips! This is such a cool and fun GIRLY way of showing your spirit! I hope you will pop by and see what am I busy doing. Dishes can wait, it's football season, BABY!!

Cock a Doodle...

Well, it's far into summer (time-wise, not weather wise) here in Salem and feathers are still going strong. Still doing great on Etsy, yay! I  plan to do 4 or more Christmas Bazaars. Pringle School, Liberty School, North Salem High School, and Mission Mill Christmas are on my to-do lists. :-) LOVE them! If you've never been, go this year! Such a killer variety of soaps, signs, trinkets, jewelry, handmade purses, etc. I love meeting new people and it's such a great support system when you are around fellow crafters!!  My thing this year is not putting everything together first, but to let YOU decide what combo you need. I will still assemble the flowers, add rhinestones, layer, feathers, clips, etc, but the customer will get to add headbands or hats. I have SUCH a variety of so cute headbands and hats this year! This year I had a craft clinic and was schooled about contrasting patterns by some style-savvy 10 year olds!! LOVED IT!  They layered every (EVERY) turquoise flower I had, the results were stunning!!  I am so matchy-matchy sometimes I forget that contrast is beautful too. I admit. I am 35 and SO on board with the hot new(ish) trend of feather extensions. Feathers have always been a favorite anyway of mine, so this was an easy choice for me. My favorite are the naturals, works wel with my age, haha.. I love putting mixes together of different colors and textures to see what works best. My favorite are OSU and U of O mixes! How fun for games to show your spirit!! My prices are good, I give you and show you everything you need to put in your own and save $$.

Two of my sweet little customers!!

Spring Is Here!!

I am so excited for Spring it is not even funny! Too see the little buds of my Gladiolas peeking up, my Irises from my Grandpa Lee's garden shooting thru (miss you much Grandpa), and the sweet , clean fragrance in the air.  Ahh!! Reset Button!!  Love it. Plus, all my favorite stores start selling the gorgeous hues!  As much as I love burgundy, navy, black, deep brown's & moss green. My heart sings for coral, lime green & all things GIRLY!!!

My new upcycled (never worn though) pants on Etsy expresss exactly what Spring means for this girl. With colors like creamsicle, watermelon, strawberry (Someone is craving fruit!!), there is a pair to match any outfit. I hand dyed linen/rayon cropped pants in adorable colors. Leaving some natural, some moss and some mocha. (Hey, they're sweet colors too!) At the bottom of each leg are two layers of sweet ruffles, perfect for over a swimsuit, for under a tunic, anywhere!  They have all been dyed in hot water and rinsed twice. So no fear of throwing these in with anything in the wash! I love the natural look of wrinkled linen, always have.  Try a pair, you'll be back, They are scrumptious. Now where's my bowl of berries?

These are so simple, sexy, and functional I have them in chocolate, crimson, dark gray, light gray, and of course, black. They are listed as a "Special Listing" on my Etsy Page.
